Causality Engine uses cookies and similar technologies to operate our platform, analyse usage, and support our marketing efforts.

3. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are placed by third-party services that appear on our pages. We use the following third-party services that may set cookies:
- Google Analytics 4 (via server-side Stape proxy), website usage analytics
- PostHog (EU), product analytics and session recordings; typed values and the numbers you enter in our tools are masked in recordings
- HubSpot, marketing analytics and CRM
- Sentry, error tracking and performance monitoring (functional)
- Affonso, affiliate referral attribution (credits the partner who referred you); only runs with marketing consent
- TikTok, advertising measurement and retargeting
- Pinterest (Pinterest Europe Limited, Ireland), advertising measurement; only runs with marketing consent
- YouTube (Google Ireland Limited), our videos on some articles and glossary pages. The page shows a still card and loads nothing from YouTube until you press play; the video then plays from youtube-nocookie.com, and YouTube's own privacy policy applies to that playback
When you have allowed marketing and leave your email address on one of our forms, our server also sends TikTok and Pinterest a hashed (SHA-256) copy of it, with your IP address and browser details, so they can tell whether one of their ads led to the sign-up. Without marketing consent, nothing is sent. The ce-consent cookie is how our server knows your choice.
4. Managing Cookies
You can control and manage cookies in several ways:
- Browser settings, most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings menu
- Cookie consent banner, use our on-site cookie consent banner to manage your preferences for analytics and marketing cookies
- Right to withdraw, you may withdraw your consent for non-essential cookies at any time by adjusting your preferences through the cookie consent banner
Please note that blocking essential cookies may prevent our platform from functioning correctly. Disabling analytics or marketing cookies will not affect core platform functionality.
5. Cookie Retention
The length of time a cookie remains on your device depends on its type:
- Session cookies, automatically deleted when you close your browser. Used for authentication and session management
- Persistent cookies, remain on your device until they expire or you manually delete them. Specific durations are listed in the table above
6. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, legislation, or our data practices. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
On 15 October 2026 we removed Leadfeeder from our website. It ran from 30 September 2026, only for visitors who allowed marketing cookies. If you did, our website deletes the cookies and local storage it left (_lfa and related names) on your next visit.
